A native of Atlanta, Georgia, Tom Reid
started his career in sales with the A B Dick Company
selling office duplicators systems to Quick Copy
Printers and inplant corporate print shops.
In 1977, he began with the Fasson Div of Avery Dennison
and gained exposure to the major printing processes
of Offset, Screen, Flexography, and Gravure as well
as knowledge of adhesives, silicone release systems
and automatic label application design and implementation.
Over the years with Fasson and later Mactac, he
held a variety of Sales and Marketing positions.
All of which contributed to a broad understanding
of the label material industry.
In the 80's, he lead the acquisition of the Unimate
Div of Wausau Paper by the Mactac Div of Bemis and
relocated the company from Wisconsin to Georgia.
He also participated as a key team member to design
and build the Mactac Nellis Nevada manufacturing
plant in 1989 and 1990.
In the 90's Tom has lead 2 more successful turnarounds
and relocated another company from the west coast
to the east coast.
Over the years, he has become active in industry
associations, giving regular presentations and Key-note
addresses.
All of this combines to give Tom a unique prospective
in which to address the challenges of today's unique
challenges.
His homespun common sense and problem solving skills
will insure success with the projects Coated Solutions
becomes involved.
